1Router

1Router is a local AI routing gateway with a dashboard, OpenAI-compatible endpoints, and Windsurf provider support.

Install

npm install -g 1router
1router

The dashboard starts at:

http://localhost:20128/dashboard

Default local runtime data is stored in:

~/.1router/data

On Windows this still respects DATA_DIR if you set it explicitly.

CLI

The 1router command opens an interactive launcher similar to the original router CLI:

Web UI (Open in Browser)
Terminal UI (Interactive CLI)
Hide to Tray (Background)
Exit

Useful flags:

1router --port 20128
1router --host 0.0.0.0
1router --tray
1router --skip-update
1router --log

Update checks read from the npm package 1router.

Windsurf

Windsurf support uses the local Windsurf installation/session on the machine where 1Router is running. The npm package does not include private account tokens, .env files, local databases, or Windsurf session state.

Environment

Runtime secrets are generated locally on first launch under ~/.1router/runtime-secrets.json.

API key: use a key from the dashboard, or the local default shown by the app
