8-mcp-youtube

YouTube MCP server for the 8th stack, backed by the YouTube Data API v3 with an OAuth 2.0 refresh token. Includes a local SQLite mirror so metadata edits can be staged and validated before spending quota.

Install

uvx 8-mcp-youtube

Configuration

Variable	Description
`YT_CLIENT_ID`	Google OAuth client ID
`YT_CLIENT_SECRET`	Google OAuth client secret
`YT_REFRESH_TOKEN`	OAuth refresh token (mint with `scripts/get_refresh_token.py`)
`YT_DATA_DIR`	SQLite mirror + CSV exports (default `./data`)
`YT_PROFILES_DIR`	Style profiles (default `./profiles`)
`YT_STYLE_PROFILE`	Active profile name or path (default `example`)
`YT_DAILY_QUOTA`	Daily quota budget (default `10000`)

data/ and profiles/ resolve relative to the current working directory unless overridden. MCP_TRANSPORT selects stdio (default) or streamable-http (port PORT, default 8000, at /mcp).
