agentic-terminal-station

An MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that gives an agent terminal capabilities: run shell commands, run Python code, and read/write files and folders on the host machine.

⚠️ Security warning

This server lets any connected MCP client execute arbitrary shell commands and Python code on the machine it runs on, with no sandboxing, allowlisting, or confirmation step. Only run it locally, only connect it to clients you trust, and never expose it over a network or to an untrusted agent.

Install

pip install agentic-terminal-station

Or with uv:

uv add agentic-terminal-station

Or run it as a one-off tool without adding it to a project:

uvx agentic-terminal-station

Usage

Run the server (defaults to stdio transport, for use with an MCP client):

agentic-terminal-station

Choose a different transport:

agentic-terminal-station --transport http

See all options:

agentic-terminal-station --help
